Jehovah-Shalom means "The Lord Our Peace". Jesus made peace between God and man whendied as our substitute for sin on the cross. Shalom is translated as "peace" or "absence from strife." Jehovah-Shalom is the name of an altar built by Gideon in Ophrah

Judges 6:23, 24 “And the Lord said unto him, Peace be unto thee; fear not: thou shalt not die. Then Gideon built an altar there unto the Lord, and called it Jehovah-shalom: unto this day it is yet in Ophrah of the Abi-ezrites.”
Eph 2:13 “For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;”
