God is Immutable

Immutability refers to the unchangeableness of God.  God is unchangeable.  He is the one Creator of all things and weights all things by His standards. He is perfect and always remains the same. This means that there is no change in His attributes, His will, or His purpose.  Immutability is the attribute which demonstrates the reality and superiority of His infinite being. The characteristic is finite and makes Him distinctly God. He is eternal and self-sustaining.  He cannot go out of existence and will always remain as He is. Immutability also signifies that His love never changes; His grace does not change; and His will can’t change.  His entire nature is unchangeable.  This is the principle attribute of His excellence.  This attribute is essential to deity. To think of God otherwise than as unchangeable is to think of Him as imperfect.
